The Lion King tralier is finally here after Walt Disney Studios Disney first announced in November that they are remaking one of the much loved animated movies of all time. The Jon Favreau’s remake with photorealistic computer animation for the visuals is a cinematic experience one will truly enjoy. The trailer, which is currently trending on YouTube with over 7 million views and counting, the 1.48-minute video opens with a young Simba and Nala exploring the elephant graveyard and encountering Scar’s band of hyenas, along with Simba’s exile at the encouragement of his uncle. With some of the original animated film’s iconic scenes such as Pumbaa and Timon singing “The Lion Sleeps Tonight†brought the live the trailer sure touches all the nooks and crannies like that of the original.
An animated film, which many for the first time believe will have more adult viewers than children given its root, the Lion King since its remake announcement has sparked a lot of speculation and this new trailer just adds more to the already hyped movie. While some viewers wrote than there are not ready to watch Musafa’s death in this visual clarity all over again, some felt that the movie was bland for their taste lacking emotion on some of the characters’ faces and the sorts.
I've watched #TheLionKing more than any other film in my life, so I feel confident when I say that everything we've seen so far of the live action version is basically a shot for shot remake. Barring a few incidental moments, this is the exact same film. Fuck this. pic.twitter.com/UCV0COLgOt— David Opie (@DavidOpie) April 10, 2019
It's kind of half and half. I get that they're more life like, so again I'm not holding anything against people who like the designs. BUT it wouldn't have killed the editors or designers to add a bit more saturation to the manes/coats to help each lion stand out a bit more.— Ace Coordinator Mary (@CoordinatorMary) April 10, 2019
As a mature 35 year old man, I’m fully prepared to cry my eyes out when Mufasa dies.— 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™‚ï¸ (@robin_caine_) April 10, 2019
