As the wait for the final season of Game of Thrones intense, HBO has released yet another teaser of their fantasy drama making fans across the globe bewildered about what lies in the final season.
The minute-long video, unlike other teasers, is deprived of any character but simply takes us along on a sad and discomforting tour of an empty Winterfell giving an impression about what lies behind after a mighty battle ends.
Glimpses of a Jon's Longclaw lying unattended in the fresh snow a beheaded wolf, a damaged wheelchair, broken chains and a chopped off hand that appears to be of Jaime Lannister are metaphors of a Winterfall lying in ruins.
There is not a soul to be seen and no dead bodies either. That could actually be the best news about the whole video. But one belonging of each pivotal character like the needle of Arya Stark, wheel cart of Bran and the sword of Jon Snow are subtle hints about the fate that awaits them.

Although the people of Game of Thrones may not be in the teaser but are in an eerie poster shared by HBO showing frozen bodies of the main characters or contenders to the thrones laid out in the shape of the Iron Throne on freshly laid snow.

However, one must not always take these teasers too seriously as HBO is known for confusing fans to spice up their interest level. They have previously also shown us faces of all main characters resting in the House of Black and White. No one of importance died in that season and definitely, no one’s face ended up on a shelf in the temple.Â
This teaser too like the other videos were shared to set the mood rather than to offer clues to fans about what is to come in the new season.
HBO and Sky Atlantic shared several other pictures from the upcoming season on Monday. The pictures revealed no new clues except reinstate the whereabouts of all major characters. Cersei is still in Kings Landing and Sansa is waiting for Daenerys’ arrival in Winterfell.
The new GOT season premiers on April 14 and the continuous teaser launches are creating a positive buzz about the series. Kin Harrington in an early interview said that not all will be happy with the ending which Emilie Clarke revealed the show has unexpected shifts and turns.
The final season will have six episodes of approximately 60-90 minutes runtime each.
