It is safe to say that Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis still practises the magic tricks he learnt form Hogwarts because he just tricked the whole internet. Tricking fans into believing that there is a new Harry Potter film coming up, the star had tweeted, ‘’ New Harry Potter film with original cast to begin shooting in 2020...’’. The tweet of course drove Potterheads into a frenzy until they released the tweet is, but to lure people to visit the UK government’s voter registration page for the next general election.

As much of Lewis’ tweet is the definition of a ‘bait’, fans couldn’t help but give a clap with relatable tweets from his movie.

Following his exit from the Harry Potter movies, Lewis seems to be enjoying staying away from the big screens. His upcoming works include a third season of Happy Valley in the works, but there’s no reason to believe at this time that Lewis will be a part of it.
However, he does have a movie that’s somewhere in the post-production stages. Lewis also filmed the comedy Baby Done in the first half of 2019 which is yet to receive its release date.
