Game of Thrones finale had complaints, a lot of complaints. And even before the fire of dissatisfaction about the episode's finale has died down that even led to a petition calling for a remake of the whole season, HBO just submitted the most hated episode, The Iron Throne for the upcoming Emmy television awards. The choice of the episode for the awards are of course, making GOT fans enraged and perplexed.

For the upcoming 2018 Emmy Awards nomination ballots, HBO of all the six episodes has reportedly decided to submit the divisive DB Weiss and David Benioff's finale episode ‘The Iron Throne’ in the category for best writing while ignoring the more lauded episodes like A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and Winterfell for the awards.

This choice for the awards as easily foreseen didn’t go down well with GOT fans, who felt like they have been given another blow after the poorly-received finale for the most awaited show ever. Following the announcement, Twitter has been flooded with memes, mockery and scoff at HBO's poor choice of episode-selection for the award.

Check out some of the reactions here:

Meanwhile, actors such as Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage Lena Headey and Maisie Williams have also been submitted by the network for respective nomination lists.
