Fans finally got to see a short clip of the ‘amazing’ fight scenes first reviewers were raving about from Henry Cavill’s, The Witcher. Appearing at the Jimmy Kimmel show Cavill spoke about doing his own stunts, the never-escapable cgi moustache topic from Mission Impossible and of course, the much, much anticipated, Geralt of Rivia. While in talks with Jimmy, a short, never-seen-before footage where Cavill can be seen slaying the monsters was released.
While much is not known about the scene, IGN reports that the fight scene is of Queen Calanthe, the grandmother of Ciri, as she throws a banquet to determine a suitor for 15-year-old Pavetta, Ciri’s mother.
It will only be until December 20 that fans will have the joy of witnessing Cavill as Geralt in all his muscly glory.
Based on a series of stories by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, the series follows monster slayer Geralt of Rivia on his adventures. And according to the first reviews from, critics are claiming that the fight scenes in The Witcher makes Game of Thrones‘ fight scenes look ‘awful’. So, we can be rest assured that the scenes will be gruesome, bloody and graphic.
The Witcher comes to Netflix on the 20th of December.
