Sony announced the release of the fourth Hotel Transylvania release, and for the Count Dracula/hotel owner fans, it is going to be a long wait. According to reports, the comedy horror starring voices of Selena Gomez as Mavis and Andy Samberg as Jonathan is booked for a 2021 Christmas release. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the CG-animated picture has been green-lit and will open December 22, 2012. This is the first time the studio has gone for a date in the year-end holidays.
Hotel Transylvania 4 will clash with Universal's Wicked and less than a week after James Cameron's Avatar 3 hits the screens on December 17.
Featuring Adam Sandler as Count Dracula, the last installment, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation had a global haul that grossed the highest USD 528.6 million following its release last July.
Hotel Transylvania sees Sandler as a hapless version of Dracula, running an elite hotel for monsters which includes his pals From Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and his bride, a werewolf voiced by veteran actor Steve Buscemi, the invisible man, and a hunchback.
