Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards has revealed that she had nowhere to go after she broke up with Zayn Malik last year.Opening up about the aftermath of their nasty split, the 23-year-old singer revealed in her girl group's new book "Our World" that she was left homeless after getting kicked out of her ex's home, reported Ace Showbiz.
Perrie and Zayn lived together in the latter's mansion in North London when they were still dating. She was in America when the former One Direction star abruptly called off their engagement.
Soon, she realized that she would have nowhere to live once she returned to the UK."After I split with my partner, out of the blue, I had nowhere to go, which was incredibly stressful.
For a while I had no idea what to do," she wrote and revealed that her bandmates Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall all told her she could live with them, but "they didn't really have room."
Also, she chose not to take the girls' offers because she didn't want to be a burden for them as she mourned the end of her relationship with Zayn."I thought about renting but I've got dogs and cats, so that was no good.
At the time we were promoting 'Black Magic', doing a lot of traveling, and while I was in America things really hit me and I panicked. I realized I was homeless.
I was crying every day, dreading coming back," she said.Luckily, her mother was there for her. She reached out to Perrie's management team and asked them to help find a place her daughter could temporarily live in.Richard Griffiths, who owns Modest! Management, allowed Perrie to live in his guest cottage "for as long as I needed, until I got on my feet again."
"I put all my stuff in storage, took my dogs, and more or less lived out of a suitcase for a good month and a half," the singer added.
