After the not-so-impressive DC Joker, Jared Leto is back to undo the damage in Sony’s second movie in MCU as a pale, undead creature. The trailer opens with a young Leto in an orphanage home who is being told by Jared Harris that is he gifted despite his rare condition. "You have a gift, you always have," he tells Morbius. Jared Leto's Morbius rare blood condition makes him turn into a scientist who accidentally turns himself into a vampire-like creature, with bat-like qualities, including echolocation and a thirst for blood.

Sony’s second movie in its budding Marvel universe after Tom Hardy’s Venom, sees two casts from The Crown, Jared Harris, Matt Smith as Loxias Crown, Tyreses Gibson as FBI agent Simon Stroud and Adria Arjona as Morbius' fiancée. Most importantly, we also see Morbius’ connection with the MCU with the appearance of Michael Keaton as the Vulture from Spider-Man Homecoming.

Morbius, created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, first showed up in The Amazing Spider-Man #101 in 1971 as a "living vampire" but later transformed as a vampire made from science instead of nature.
