Jason Momoa has shared his interest in donning the claws worn last by Hugh Jackman in Logan. With Fox’s X-Men saga coming to an end with Dark Phoenix, there has already been a talk of new reboots in MCU-phase 4 including X-Men following the Fox-Disney merger earlier this year. With the talk of the new reboots, there has been a lot of back and forth conjecture about who will be stepping in the iconic Wolverine role left so strong behind by Hugh Jackman. As the talk wings, Aquaman star Jason Momoa kehas shown his keen interest to swap his trident for some claws.
The Aquaman star appeared at Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio recently, where he was asked which MCU character he’d like to play did not hesitate to vocalise his want to don the claws, ‘’Wolverine. Oh I’d love to play Wolverine’’ Momoa answered echoing his praise for Hugh Jackman’s role which he has previously said, ‘’He was phenomenal. I grew up just loving Wolverine’’.
With his animalish good looks as Khal Drogo, the King of Atlantis, we are sure Momoa will blend win just fine as the mutant who possesses animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, powerful regenerative ability with three retractable claws in each hand.
And while Momoa is reported to reprise the role of the Atlantean in Aquaman 2, we hope Marvel is listening to him.
Talking about the iconic X-Men character, Hugh Jackman was the face of Wolverine since the original X-Men movie in 2000, but after 17 years and eight films his time as the mutant came to an end with 2017’s Logan.
