Actress Julia Roberts will be seen playing lead role in a small-screen adaptation of Maria Semple's novel 'Today Will Be Different'.
In addition to starring, the 49-year-old star will produce the limited series, which marks the first project announced under Annapurna Pictures' new TV initiative, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Semple will write the adaptation and also serve as an executive producer alongside Annapurna's Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle. A network is not yet on board.
'Today Will Be Different' chronicles the story of Eleanor Flood, who had ambitions to wake up and have the best day of her life, but is forced to abandon those plans when she finds a strange, new future unfolding.
"I'm giddy that Eleanor Flood will be brought to life by Julia Roberts and am elated to collaborate with Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle and the team at Annapurna on this endeavor. This will be a fun ride," Semple said.
