Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom crosses $1 billion mark worldwide

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has officially crossed one billion dollars collection worldwide making it the 35th film ever to achieve such figure.

The movie collected 305 million at the domestic box-office and 700 million in the international box-office and becomes the seventh film from Universal to cross the milestone.

The film earned 245.2 million dollars in China which makes it as the fifth highest grossing western film of all time.

With this collection figures, Universal Pictures collected a total of 4.64 billion dollars worldwide and becomes seventh highest grossing franchise of all time ahead of another Universal Pictures franchise Fast and Furious.

The makers of the film have already announced another sequel of the film which is set to release on June 11 in the year 2021.

However, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom didn't manage to win over critics and fans with nostalgia like its predecessor did. Currently, the movie sits at a 51 percent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, with an equally poor 57 percent audience rating.
