After Westeros, Kit Harrington is now set to explore the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as on Saturday he joined the star-studded cast of "The Eternals".

The film will mark the "Game of Thrones" star's reunion with Richard Madden, who played his on-screen brother on the hit HBO epic fantasy drama.

The announcement was made by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige at the D23 Expo here.

The star-studded cast also includes Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Barry Keoghan and Don Lee.

Created by Jack Kirby in 1976, the story of "The Eternals" is set millions of years ago when the cosmic beings known as the Celestials genetically experimented on humans to create super-powered individuals known as the Eternals along with the villainous Deviants.

Critically-acclaimed filmmaker Chloe Zhao is attached to direct the movie from a script by Matthew and Ryan Firpo.  Meanwhile, actor Gemma Chan has also boarded the cast, making the film her second project in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after summer blockbuster Captain Marvel.

At the event, Feige also shared the first look of all the characters being played by Madden, Jolie, Nanjiani, Ridloff, Henry, Keoghan and Lee.  ?The Eternals? is scheduled for a November 6, 2020 release.
