Singer Mariah Carey will return to New Year's Rockin' Eve on December 31.

The performance will come exactly a year after the singer staged a messed up gig at New York's Times Square on the 2016-ending special.

The 46-year-old singer was ringing in the New Year on the show "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest", but had to stop her performance following technical difficulties.

"We can all agree that last year didn't go exactly as planned and we are thrilled to move forward together to provide America with an incredible night of music and celebration on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018.

"See you in Times Square!" said a joint statement by Carey and Dick Clark Productions.

Other artistes announced for the live Times Square performance include Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas and Sugarland.
