Near the venue of the Global Citizen India concert in Mumbai, where the British rock band Coldplay performed, the Mumbai unit of NCP's youth wing, on Saturday, protested.
Nilesh Bhosale, president of city NCP youth wing, said about 200 workers participated in the protest where a band, termed 'Hotplay', played and they danced.
Locals, especially slum dwellers in the area, joined in, he said.
He said the protest lasted for over 45 minutes and police detained some workers.
The 'Hotplay' was a protest against the entertainment tax waiver and other concessions given to the concert, he said.
