So, another clip of Disney's all-time favourite, The Lion King just dropped and needless to say it is purrfect, specially with Beyoncé talking as Nala for the first time. The 30 second video which was released by Disney shows Beyoncé telling Simba to come home. “Simba, you have to take your place as king,†she says. “We need you. Come home.â€
The 30 second Disney “live-action†remake of The Lion King, also features the voices of Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as the comic relief duo of Timon and Pumbaa, respectively. Apart from titbits of Nala, the clip also shows the classic scenes from the original animated pic, like the wildebeest stampede and the fight between Scar and Simba against a burning Pride Rock which we have seen in the latest trailer.
Talking about Beyoncé as the queen of The Pride Rock, the singer much like her onscreen character and her music rank also appeared at the Wearable Art Gala in Sanat Monica, California, wearing an outfit reminiscent of Nala, her “Lion King†character, according to People.
Jon Favreau’s the Lion King which also stars Donald Glover, John Oliver, Eric André and James Earl Jones hits theaters on July 19.
