Oscars 2020: Movies' biggest award show, the 92nd academy awards is storming the Dobly Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA today (February 10). The awards ceremony will go without a host once again. The Academy has planned to acknowledge the death of the late NBA icon at the ceremony. Kobe Bryant, who won an Academy Award in 2018 for animated short film "Dear Basketball," had been honoured with a moment's silence at the Oscars nominees' luncheon on Monday.
2019 was a great year for movies with Bong Jong Ho’s satirical genius of a movie, Parasite, Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker breaking all records as the most nominated movie that too, for a comic book adaptation in 11 categories, Sam Mendes’ 1917, Tarantino’s, Noah Baumbach's raw divorce film Marriage Story, Taika Waititi's satirical Nazi comedy Jojo Rabbit, ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ among others all racing for the golden statuette.
