The list of nominees for oscar 89th annual awards has been released. The nominees were announced on Tuesday morning during live-streamed event that was filmed in six cities around the globe.
Academy President Cheryl Boone Issacs, Demian Bichir, Dustin Lance Black, Glenn Close, Guillermo del Toro, Marcia Gay Harden, Terrence Howard, Jennifer Hudson, Brie Larson, Jason Reitman, Gabourey Sidibe, and Ken Watanabe announced the nominees for awards to be given in 24 categories.
The Academy Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the first time. It will air live on ABC on February 26.
