Priyanka Chopra has been in Miami chilling with her mom Madhu Chopra and beau Nick Jonas. She turned a year older on July 18 and continued her birthday celebrations on a yacht with her family. And there is this one snap of Priyanka smoking a cigarette with Nick and her mom smoking a cigar that has gone viral. Priyanka is being brutally trolled on social media for the same.
For those who don’t know, Priyanka had released a video last year, urging people not to burn crackers on Diwali. The actress, who is asthmatic, said in the clip, "Please meri saans ko berok rakhiye. Diwali pe patakho ko skip kijiye." She added that the festival should be about "lights and laddoos and love, and not pollution".
Fans also dug out an old tweet from 2010 in which Priyanka wrote, "Smoking is awful!!! Yuck!!!"
One user tweeted: "So sweet - Priyanka Chopra trying to cure the asthma she developed on Diwali." Another said, "Dear Indians please don't burst crackers for Diwali since Priyanka Chopra has Asthma."
Priyanka Chopra isn't the first celebrity to be trolled for smoking. Earlier, pictures of Mahira Khan went viral where she was spotted smoking a cigarette along with Ranbir Kapoor in San Francisco.
Meanwhile, Nick hosted a grand birthday party for PeeCee in Miami, Florida. The Bollywood diva was treated to a five-tier red and gold glittery birthday cake. Priyanka looked smoking hot in a red dress.
On the work front, the gorgeous actress will finally be back on the silver screen with Shonali Bose's next directorial project, The Sky Is Pink. Along with Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf, the film is slated to release this October. The film is based on the life of late motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.
