Spider-man star Tom Holland has reportedly unfollowed Sony following news that Spider-Man may leave MCU after Sony and Disney fallout. The news of Holland unfollowing Sony was first reported by Heroic Hollywood MCU Cosmic's Jeremy Conrad who shared a GIF tweet of Holland with the hashtag SaveSpidey.

On Tuesday reports came through that Sony which still holds the rights to the character was reportedly asked by Disney to make future Spider-Man films be made 50 / 50 coproductions instead of the current deal, which is said to give Marvel (and Disney) five percent of gross box-office revenue which Sony disagreed. With Marvel’s massive Spider-man movie successes not to mention Spider-man crossovers in Avengers movies such as Endgame which became the highest grossing movies of all time, it is only with time that Disney which is the parent body to Marvel asks for a bigger share of the profits which did happen.

Following this fail by Sony and Disney to come to an agreement, Disney pulled out Marvel head, Kevin Feige from producing future Spider-man movies which means no more Marvel Spider man movies. This huge blow hit hard Marvel fans even leading to a social media campaign to save Spider-man.

As of now, Sony still plans to produce two more Spider-Man films with Tom Holland in the role, ‘’ Kevin is terrific and we are grateful for his help and guidance and appreciate the path he has helped put us on, which we will continue’’ Sony said in a statement.
