On Monday, Jojo Rabbit director Taika Waititi made history by becoming the first indigenous New Zealander to win an Oscar. The 44-year-old Maori filmmaker took home the award for best adapted screenplay at 92nd Academy Awards. After the big win, curious Oscar winner actor Brie Larson decided to keep an eye on the new Oscar-winning director and what she captured was just the most adorable.

In the video, we see Taika hiding his golden Oscar statuette under his seat which was, of course shared by the Captain Marvel actor. Cheering and laughing as she recorded the video, Brie shared the short clip on her social media account with the caption, ‘Taika Waititi putting his oscar under the chair is a mood’.

Another director to make history at the 92nd Academy awards was Bong Joon Ho. The South Korea director swooped major four wins at the Oscars by wining foreign language film, best director along with international feature film and original screenplay.

Shortly after winning 4 Oscar wins and telling the audience that he will ‘drink till next morning’, the director was seen apologizing to the engravers for giving them so many statues, joking “I’m so sorry for the hard work. There’s too many’’ the Oscar winning director jested.
