Daniel Brühl has released first look of himself as the Marvel villian, Baron Zemo for the upcoming Disney + TV show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As one of the many, many projects Marvel Studios teased at San Diego Comic Con last Saturday, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier teams up with Anthony Mackie’s Falcon/Captain America and Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes.
The Inglorious Basterds actor originally joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016's Captain America: Civil War as Helmut Zemo, a Colonel in the Sokovian Armed Forces whose family was killed during the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron then in Civil War as he set out to destroy the Avengers before half the members lost to Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
The last we saw of Brühl was when Black Panther stop Zemo from committing suicide and turned him over to the authorities. While the plot of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is under wraps, the new look of Zemo for Disney+ Marvel series shows him donning a purple comic mask against a dark and obscured video effect.
Other upcoming Marvel Studios project for fall 2020 include The Eternals on November 6, 2020, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on February 12, 2021, WandaVision in spring 2021, Loki in spring 2021, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on May 7, 2021, What If? In summer 2021, Hawkeye in fall 2021, and Thor: Love and Thunder.
