On Monday, the streaming sites launched the official looks for the highly anticipated new show with some jaw-dropping pictures. Starring Henry Cavill as Geralt looking like the love-child of Legolas and Superman, the series based on the best-selling fantasy book series of the same name and also inspired the famous role-playing action video game series unleashed The Witcher’s first look.Â

Henry Cavill’s ‘The Witcher follows Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter who’s struggling to find his place in a world where humans seems more wicked than the monsters he hunts. When Geralt meets a powerful sorceress and a princess with a dangerous secret, the three must navigate the increasingly dangerous Continent together.
Taking to Instagram, the show did not hold back on sharing the striking images ahead of its wider reveal anticipated for the San Diego Comic Con on 19 July.
Fans can now take a good look at the lead characters; Geralt played by Henry himself, Anya Cholatra’s Yennefer, and Freya Allan’s Ciri.

Gaining fame with the series of books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher has since spawned extra life with the highly popular video game series and has been one of Cavil’s most anticipated project ever since he announced the good news last year.
The Witcher premiers on Netflix in 2019.
