Much to the delight of fans, filmmaker Steven Spielberg has revealed that "Tintin is not dead"! He said the work on the much-awaited Tintin 2 is still underway.
The sequel to the 2011 film - Adventures of Tintin - is in works. However, it will not be released anytime soon, the filmmaker said.
Peter Jackson was to take on directorial duties for the upcoming sequel and Spielberg has now confirmed it, according to sources.
"Peter Jackson has to do the second part. Normally, if all goes well, he will soon start working on the script. As is takes two years of animation work on the film, for you, I would not expect to see it for about three years. But Peter will stick to it. 'Tintin' is not dead!" Spielberg was quoted as saying in an interview with French magazine Premiere.

The 71-year-old filmmaker had directed the "Adventures of Tintin", which comics was created by cartoonist Georges Remi in 1929.
