At 57, Tom Cruise is still in the game for another kickass action movie in Top Gun: Maverick. Reprising his role as the sticker-studded, leather wearing Us fighter pilot, Maverick who charms women along the way, the trailer shows Tom Cruise become the mentor to a new generation of US Navy fighter pilots which Mav's ommanding officer tells recruits “Your instructor’s one of the finest pilots this program’s ever produced''.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the trailer sees Tom being called back to duty by ‘orders' as we wonder what he has been up to for more than 30 years.
Val Kilmer, 59, will be returning to the sequel, but Meg Ryan, 58, will not. New recruits include Miles Teller, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman and Ed Harris and Jennifer Connelly as a single mother.
The movie is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who directed Oblivion, which also starred Cruise. Christopher McQuarrie is among the writers, and he too worked with Cruise on Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation and Fallout.
Maverick hits the big screen on 26 June 2020 in the US and 17 July 2020 in the UK.
