Carrie Underwood was a double winner at the 2016 CMT Music Awards, but country music veteran Tim Mcgraw stole the show.
Carrie took home two of the three awards she was nominated for, but missed out on the fan-voted Video of the Year trophy, which went to MCGraw for his promo “Humble & Kind”.
The former “American Idol” champ did pick up Female Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year for her hit “Smoke Break”.
Other winners at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee included Blake Shelton and Chris Stapleton.
The night was hosted by Fox Sports personality Erin Andrews and Houston Texans’ defensive standout J J Watt, who kept the tone light and funny, particularly with an opening sequence that included Florida Georgia Line, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Kellie Pickler.
