In a shocking turn of events, Music composer and DJ, Avicii has been found dead in Oman on Friday.
The Swedish superstar, whose real name is Tim Bergling, had collaborated with artists like Madonna and Coldplay. He had scored two UK number one singles.
"The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time," Diana Baron, his publicist confirmed.
Best known for his single ‘Wake Me Up’, the 28-year-old star was found dead in Muscat, Oman.
He was one of the flagbearers of electronic dance music (EDM) and was widely recognised as one of the few DJ capable of producing worldwide arena tour.
Winner of two MTV Music Awards, one Billboard Music Awards, Avicii was one of the most followed DJs in the world. He had been nominated for Grammy Awards two times in his career.
The shocking news comes days after he was nominated for a Billboard Music Award for top dance/electronic album for his EP Avicii (01).
The DJ had reportedly suffered with acute pancreatitis, caused by excessive drinking.
