Diehard fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) across the globe will be left disheartened after watching ‘Avengers: Endgame’ as it marks the end of one of the most prominent superheroes. Yes, we know it’s a spoiler, but we are still talking about this because most fans we spoke to after the movie were sad to see the demise of their beloved superhero – that made the debut 11 years ago i.e. 2008. That’s enough hint to guess whom we are talking about. Yes, Iron Man.
Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., is one of the most important superheroes in the film ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and it is his intelligence that helped others to change things that went wrong in the past. Apart from him, pot-bellied Thor and aged Steve Rogers will grab maximum eyeballs.
The movie begins a couple of days after Thanos disintegrated half of all life across the universe using ‘Infinity Stones’. Tony Stark and Thanos’s daughter Nebula (played by Karen Gillan) were rescued by Carol Danvers (played by Brie Larson). They join other Avengers—Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James Rhodes (Don Cheadle). They all discuss ways to undo everything wrong Thanos did but failed to find out a concrete solution.
Five years later, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) escapes from the quantum realm. He tells Romanoff and Rogers that only five hours have passed for him instead of years. He explains that it was possible because of the quantum realm and the same can facilitate time travel. They try to convince Stark in joining them but in vain. However, Stark later agrees to design something which helps Avengers to travel in the past.
Avengers then form three teams to collect all the Infinity Stones. Soon after that, clash begins with Thanos who apparently overpowers them. He then summons his army to lay siege to Earth but the unexpected entry of Stephen Strange or Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) - who transports all the other Avengers allies who have been restored, along with armies of Asgard and Wakanda, to fight Thanos and his army - helps Avengers put a strong fight.
Captain America and Thor give a tough fight to Thanos and you will surely cheer for Steve Rogers for the way he uses Thor's hammer - which is impossible for others to lift. Ultimately Iron Man retrieves the Infinity Stones to disintegrate Thanos and his army. The bitter-sweet end of the movie will probably leave you crying and aching for more.
