SOTY 2 Movie Review: Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria's film fails to impress

The much-awaited film of the year, Student of the Year 2, starring Tiger Shroff and newbies Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday finally hit the screens today. A small town boy Rohan Sehgal (Tiger Shroff), who is head over heels in love with his childhood sweetheart Mridula (Tara Sutaria), follows her to city's top college. But soon he realises that he doesn't belong to this elite world. Rohan meets Manav (Aditya Seal) and his spoilt sister Shreya (Ananya Panday), who leaves no chance to embarrass Rohan at any given opportunity. 

This leads to a battle between poor kids and rich kids, and sets a stage for romance and competitiveness. The plot of the story mainly revolves around these four characters who fall in and out of love without much ado. SOTY 2 also has a bunch of sports activities that would help in deciding the ultimate winner, who clinches the title of Student of the Year and takes home the trophy. While Tiger Shroff's dancing and chiseled body is grabbing all the limelight, film's leading ladies Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria are glammed up to the T and flaunt the best designer dresses. The film's strength is action and dance.

Acting could have been more impressive, but the cast failed to deliver the same. However, Tiger Shroff has done a stupensous job when it comes to acting, dance and action sequences. While Tara has failed to deliver an impressive performance, Ananya has done a better job.  

In the end, we would like to say that Student of The Year 2 has many exciting moments. So, hurry up and book your tickets this weekend.
