Ranu Mondal, who rose to prominence after she sang legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s song Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai, will soon have a biopic made on her life. Ranu used to earn her living by singing on the railway station. From singing on a reality show to singing in a Bollywood movie, Ranu Mondal has been achieving great heights since her voice took the nation by storm.
Now the latest news related to her is that her struggles and life will now be seen on the big screen as a biopic is being made on her. As per a report in Bengali language website of the Times of India, some information about the biopic of Ranu Mondal has been leaked. According to the report, the biopic of Ranu Mondal is about to be made and reportedly the producer of this film will be producer-director Hrishikesh Mandal. The shooting of the film will begin in September this year as per reports.

Apart from this, it is also being said that the biopic on Ranu will be a musical film and the internet sensation will be lending her voice for the songs. Other than Ranu, famous singer Siddharth Rai will also give his voice in this film. It has also been claimed in the report that Siddharth Rai has confirmed the news of Ranu's biopic. He said that I have got an offer to sing in this film and I am very excited to give music to this film with Ranu Mondal.
Meanwhile, Ranu Mondal has already made her Bollywood debut by singing a song for music-composer Himesh Reshammiya in his upcoming film Happy, Hardy and Heer. A glimpse of the recording of this song was shared by Himesh on his Instagram account. Himesh has recorded another song 'Aadat' from Happy Hardy and Heer with Ranu.

Himesh has also revealed that she is being flooded by calls from who's who of the music industry, A R Rahman and Sonu Nigam to name a few. According to a report by Hindustan Times, Ranu Mandal is being showered by offers from Bollywood, Bengali and South Indian film industries. A day back she got a call from AR Rahman's office and even Sonu Nigam has also shown interest in collaborating with the viral singer, said Atindra Chakroborty- the man who recorded her soulful rendition of Lata Mangeshkar's song and sharing it on social media.
