British record producer Troyboi has slammed Baaghi 3 makers for allegedly copying his popular track Do You? In a series of Instagram posts, he claimed that Baaghi 3’s new song Do You Love Me is similar to his song Do You? The song has been picturised on Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani. ''How ironic that my latest track was a tribute to India and then this happens,'' he wrote in one Instagram story. In another, Troyboi wrote that he would dream of a ''sizeable cheque.''
He also took a dig at South actor Chiranjeevi, whose film's track was copied from Michael Jackson's Thriller song video. Diet Sabya, a popular Instagram handle which is known for exposing copies in the world of fashion, put out a collage of TroyBoi's song and Baaghi 3's song, depicting similarity between the two.
Meanwhile, the producers of Baaghi 3 maintained that Do You Love Me is a licensed version of the original by famous Lebanese composer and songwriter Rene Bendali. Earlier, the trailer of Baaghi 3 received a lot of criticism for scenes inspired from Wonder Woman and Captain America. When the trailer came out, the internet was flooded with memes about the same.
Baaghi 3 is the third instalment of the popular franchise Baaghi. The film, which has Tiger travelling to Syria to rescue his brother, also features Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Ankita Lokhande and Jackie Shroff in key roles. After the overwhelming response to the Baaghi 3 trailer, Tiger thanked fans in an Instagram post. ''Thank you so much everyone for all the love and appreciation for our trailer, truly overwhelming and immense gratitude to you all. Made all the hard work our team went through worth it. Love always,'' he wrote.
Earlier Shraddha Kapoor had said, ''I'm super excited to be back with the 'Baaghi' family. I had such a memorable time being a part of 'Baaghi' and this is my third film with Sajid sir, second with Tiger and first with Ahmed sir. The script is amazing and I'm excited to be a part of this movie.''
Choreographer-filmmaker Ahmed Khan, who helmed Baaghi 2, will return to the director's chair for the threequel. The sequel to the 2018 film, which starred Disha Patani opposite Tiger, is co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Sajid Nadiadwala, under the banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. "The entire team of 'Baaghi' is very happy to have Shraddha Kapoor back. Tiger and Shraddha's pair was extremely loved in 'Baaghi' and I am sure that fans of the franchise will be as excited as we are to have them together," Sajid said.
Baaghi 3 will release on March 6.
