John Travolta awkwardly mistakes drag queen for Taylor Swift as he hands over VMA’s, WATCH

John Travolta was brutally trolled on Monday for mistaking Taylor Swift for RuPaul's Drag Race alum Jade Jolie. The Pulp Fiction star supposedly aimed to hand out the award to Swift for her ‘You Need To Calm Down’ win passed the coveted popcorn cup to Jolie until he realised that it was not Swift by Jolie. Jolie, on her part, effortlessly brushed aside the Travolta’s error before giving the actor a kind side-hug.

In Travolta’s defence, Jade, who might as well be mistaken for Swift anytime is known in the drag world for her spot-on impression of the 29-year-old singer. It is however also worth reminding that Travolta is no stanger to mistaken identities when it comes to award shows. Anyone remember the infamous flub of Idina Menzel’s name at the 2014 Oscars, when Travolta mistook her name to be Adele Dazeem?
