Ranu Mondal became an overnight sensation after she was spotted singing Lata Mangeshkar’s song Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai at the Ranaghat station in West Bengal. Ever since her video went viral, she has been loaded with work from the who’s who of Bollywood industry. She has already recorded two songs for music-composer Himesh Reshammiya for his upcoming film, Happy, Hardy and Heer. However, the singer is currently making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Recently, a video of her went viral wherein she can be seen forgetting the lyrics of her song. Ranu is asked to sing for the audience. While she is given the stage and mic to sing, she takes a long pause and after some time, she says, "Oh my god, I forget it."

Watch the video below:

Ranu was recently trolled on social media when her make-up artist apparently overdid her make-up for an event. Soon, her make-up artist cleared the air about Ranu's picture which was doing rounds of the internet and mentioned that it was fake. Sandhya (Ranu's makeup artist ) had captioned her Instagram post as, "As you can see, this is the difference between the work that we have done and the 'Fake' picture that has been edited to an extent. All the jokes and trolls are fine and they make us laugh too but to hurt someone sentiments, that's not a very good thing to do. We truly hope that you all will understand the truth and realise the difference between the fake one and the one that is genuine. That's all we ask for."

Meanwhile, talking about her earlier life, Ranu had recently revealed, ''I wasn’t born on a footpath. I belonged to a well-to-do family but it was my destiny. I got separated from my parents when I was just six months old. We shifted from West Bengal to Mumbai after marriage,'' Ranu stated. ''My husband worked at filmstar Feroz Khan’s house as a cook. His son Fardeen was in college at that time. They used to treat us very well, like family members, " she added.
