New Delhi:

Hollywood celebs have joined hands to show support to Australia bushfire victims with singer Pink donating $500,000.  ‘’I am totally devastated watching what is happening in Australia right now with the horrific bushfires," the Walk Me Home singer Tweeted.

"I am pledging a donation of $500,000 directly to the local fire services that are battling so hard on the frontlines. My heart goes out to our friends and family in Oz."

Pink’s donation for the national crisis comes days after Australian comedian Celeste Barber raised over $10million for firefighters battling to save properties and people across New South Wales. Barber said that she started the fundraiser online when her mother-in-law's house in Eden, on the New South Wales south coast, was engulfed in an orange glow.

"This is my mother in laws house," Barber captioned several photos on her social media platforms.

Other stars such as Seleba Gomez, Kim Kardashian also took to their social media account encouraging their millions of fans to donate.

The national bushfire death toll reached 23 on Saturday, and more than 1,500 homes have been destroyed in bushfires this season across New South Wales and Victoria.

Ecologists from the University of Sydney also estimate 480 million mammals, birds and reptiles have been lost since September with the figure likely to continue to soar. Devastating fires have ripped through the states of Victoria and New South Wales in the past couple of days alone, leaving at least 19 people dead and around 5,000,000 hectares of land burnt across the country.
