Karan Johar, recently hosted these two pop singing sensations at his place that was attended by all the big wigs of the industry. Right from the moment Katy and Dua touched down at the airport till the time the duo bid goodbye and jetted back to their country, these singers stayed in news.
Singer Sona Mahapatra who often takes to social media to voice her opinion of several social political issues penned a long post inviting Katy and Dua for her concert, to explore more about Indian music and learn about its tradition. This invite of Sona was for her upcoming concert in Cuttack in Odisha from where she belongs, known as Balijatra. Her caption read, “Dear @katyperry & @DUALIPA , Would you not have liked to hang out, speak music & learn a bit more about our glorious musical traditions with the real Rockstars & Music Makers of India? Maybe you'd like to attend this centuries-old celebration I'm playing for?"
This festival is held in Odisha in the city of Cuttack since 3 B.C to mark the day when ancient mariners would set sail to distant lands of Bali, as well as Java, Sumatra, Borneo (all in Indonesia), & Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) for trade and cultural expansion.
