Punjabi and Hindi singer Daler Mehndi is the latest celebrity to take the saffron plunge ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.He joined the party in the presence of Vijay Goel and Hans Raj Hans. 

With his Indian Classical background, Daler Mehendi started his musical career. His debut album Bolo Ta Ra Ra, Dardi Rab Rab and Balle Balle. Bolo Ta Ra Ra sold over 20 million copies. This very song established him as a pop star. Daler is credited for creating a new genre of music called Rabbabi which is a fusion of Sufi, Thumri and Rock.
