Mika Singh recently made a show of patriotism at the India Pakistan border in Amritsar a few days after he received loads of backlash from netizens and a ban by Cine works Association for performing at the wedding of a Pakistani billionaire's daughter, apparently close to former Pak President General Pervez Musharaff, during times of escalating tensions between two nations.
Seen as a move to ease the outrage of his fans over his decision to perform in Pakistan, Mika posted a video on his Twitter handle where he is seen chanting, 'Bharat Mata Ki Ji' at Attari-Wagah border, showcasing his love for the nation.
"Bharat Mata ki Jai! Thank you, everyone, for such a warm welcome. Happy Independence Day once again and salute to our jawans. They aren't able to celebrate any festival, all to make our lives better. Jai hind," Mika wrote along with the video post.

At a time when Indo-Pak tensions have escalated, Mika's performance did not go down well in India. The Federation Of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) have banned Mika, aka Amrik Singh, from any performance, recording, playback singing and acting in India "irrevocably forever".
Happy that Indian singer Mika Singh performed at the mehndi of Gen Musharraf's relative recently in Karachi. God for bid if it was Nawaz Sharif's relative it would be raining ghadari k hashtag already. pic.twitter.com/IVfE5hETiz

The organization has stated that since Mika Singh did not care much about the country’s pride and went on to perform in Karachi, he will be banned and boycotted. The statement further stated that if anyone in India works with Mika Singh, they will face legal consequences in the court of law.
According to newspaper reports, Mika arrived in Karachi with his troupe to perform at the wedding ceremony of the influential billionaire's daughter who is a big fan of the singer and apparently charged USD 150,000 for his performance.
