Andhadhun starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte bagged three awards in the 66th edition of National Awards. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film is about the protagonist who acts as a blind person. Now, actor-filmmaker Thiagarajan has bagged the Tamil remake rights of Andhadhun and his son Prashanth might reprise the role played by Ayushmann Khurrana. The father-actor duo also remade Sriram Raghavan’s Johnny Gaddar in Tamil, titled Johnny.

Prashanth, who is a trained piano player, was last seen in a supporting role in Ram Charan's Telugu film Vinaya Vidheya Rama. Other than Andhadhun, Prashanth has also signed up for a movie with A Venkatesh, which is yet to go on floors.Andhadhun won three awards at the recently held National Awards – Best actor for Ayushmann Khurrana, Best Hindi Film and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Ayushmann will be next seen in Dream Girl. Helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film also stars Anu Kapoor and Nushrat Bharucha in significant roles. In the movie, Ayushmann will be seen playing a living female mythological characters such as Sita and Radha in stage acts. Later, he turns into a female telecaller who flirt with male customers in seductive voice.

Nushrat Bharucha will play the love interest of Ayushmann Khurrana in the movie while Vijay Raaz and several other will be falling in love with Ayushmann’s female voice.

Talking about his role, Ayushmann said, ''In our country there has been a tradition, whenever Ramleela happens, a boy becomes Sita. But we never gave this any importance. This doesn't happen anywhere but in India. I want to do films which tell our lesser talked about stories.""The character that Raaj has written is unbelievable. I don't think I've done any film being this fearless. I've usually played in subtlety but this one is out there and a lot of fun," the actor said.

Dream Girl is scheduled to be released on September 13.
