Telugu actor and Baahubali's character artist Madhu Prakash’s wife Bharati committed suicide on August 6 evening at their Hyderabad residence.
According to reports, Bharati was unhappy with her husband’s acting profession and also him coming home late. Not only that, she even suspected Madhu having an affair with another senior actress.
Madhu has also informed police that the day this unfortunate incident took place,Bharati had called up her husband to warm him. She asked him come home else she will commit suicide, but her call was ignored by the actor.
As per latest update, the Telugu actor has been booked under dowry death case.
Madhu Prakash and Bharati tied the knot in 2015.Bharati lived with her husband Madhu Prakash and her in-laws in at Panchavati colony in Manikonda, Hyderabad., But things weren’t going well between the duo lately as Bharati was upset with Madhu’s profession and his habit of coming back home late.
About the actor’s extra-marital affair IndiaGlitz quoted a source saying, “The wife told her relatives about the situation. The elders as well as others counselled Madhu Prakash to end the extra-marital affair.” Madhu who saw Bharati hanging to a ceiling fan, immediately reported it at the police station in Raidurgam.
Ravinder, Circle Inspector, Raidurgam Police Station told ANI, “Tuesday evening Bharati (34) had committed suicide by hanging herself to death at her residence. Upon receiving the information, we reached the spot and shifted the body to the hospital for autopsy.”
According to the officer as reported by ANI that Bharati’s father has lodged a complaint against Madhu Prakash stating that he used to harass Bharati for dowry. “Madhu Prakash used to harass Bharati for dowry and he had even beaten her up which abetted her to commit suicide,” said police on the basis of Bharati's father statement.
Madhu Prakash has been booked under Section 304B (dowry death) of the Indian Penal Code. The police told ANI, “We have nabbed the accused Madhu Prakash and he will be sent to judicial remand on Thursday (August 8)”.
