Bigil Box-Office Collection Day 3: Vijay’s Film Earns Rs 100 Crore In 3 Days

Bigil, starring Vijay in the lead, has made an estimated Rs 100 crore worldwide in just three days of its release. The film which hit the screens on October 25, has garnered huge positive attention from the audience as well as critics.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to share the news and wrote, "#Bigil has taken more than Rs100 Crs+ Opening at the WW Box Office..Congrats #Thalapathy @actorvijay, #Nayanthara, @Atlee_dir, @archanakalpathi, @Ags_production and Team.. (sic)"

In Chennai city, Bigil is dominating the box office by grossing Rs 5.26 crore at the end of three days of its theatrical run.

Bigil marks the third collaboration of director Atlee and Vijay after Theri and Mersal. Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film released on Friday in over 4000 screens worldwide.

The film sees Vijay in dual roles as a father and a son. As known, Vijay plays the coach of a women's football team and a local rowdy. Vijay underwent special training to get under the skin of the coach’s character. To shoot pivotal portion of the film in a football stadium, the makers spent a Rs 6 crore and erected a stadium.

Produced at a staggering budget of Rs 180 crore, the movie also stars Nayanthara, Kathir, Yogi Babu and Vivek in crucial roles. Bigil's music has been produced by AR Rahman.
