Like many other Tamil stars Vijay is famous by a name presented by his fans. The actor’s full name is actually Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar. However, fans gave him the Ilayathalapathy title after a couple of his films and the title stuck.
Vijay has said, at many occasions, that had it not been for Thalaiva he would have not become such a good actor. In fact, according to certain reports, Vijay landed a role in a film after he delivered a Rajinikanth dialogue from Annamalai during auditions.
