Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter, Soundarya tied the knot with businessman and actor Vishagan Vanangamudi as per south Indian rituals at the Leela Palace Hotel in Chennai today. Soundarya and Vishagan made for a royal couple at the wedding and looked extremely adorable together. Ahead of the wedding, Rajinikanth invited a lot of politicians and celebrities for Soundarya’s wedding.
The marriage was attended by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami, and many other people from political circle. From the film fraternity, Kamal Haasan, Sivaji Prabhu, Prem Kumar, Manjima Mohan, Dhanush, Mohan Babu, Lakshmi Manchu, Andrea Jeremiah, Anirudh, Aditi Rao Hydari and many others attended the wedding. Check out the pictures below:

Before the wedding ceremony, Rajinikanth and his family hosted pre-wedding celebrations, which was followed by a combined sangeet and mehendi ceremony. Soundarya took to her Twitter account to post a few pictures from the ceremony and wrote, "Blessed and grateful beyond words!!!! The three most important men in my life... my darling father... my angel son... and now you my Vishagan."

In an interaction with the media, Rajinikanth had said, "Thirunavukarasar has been the main person behind arranging Soundarya's marriage functions. So, I gave the first invitation to him. I will invite a few more people. The political people I am meeting now is only for my daughter's marriage and not for any politically inclined reasons."
Soundarya was earlier married to businessman Ashwin Ramkumar, an industrialist and businessman on September 03, 2010 at Rani Meyyammai Hall in Chennai. Due to irrevocable differences, they announced in 2016 that they have filed for divorce. Soundarya and Ashwin got legally separated in July 2017 and the two are parents to five-year-old son Ved. Soundarya is a graphic designer and filmmaker. She last directed her brother-in-law Dhanush and Kajol in Velaiilla Pattadhari 2.Â
