After the box office success of Tamil remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Pink, Nerkonda Paarvai featuring Ajith, Shraddha Srinath, Abirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang in the lead roles, Boney Kapoor is all set to make a Telegu remake of the movie with actor-politician Pawan Kalyan in the lead role.
The Telegu remake of Pink has been assigned a working title of PSPK 26. As soon as the news was shared by movie business trade analysts, Taran Adarsh and Komal Nahta, elated fans of the veteran Telegu actor, Kalyan started trending the actor on Twitter.

Pawan Kalyan was last seen in 2018's Agnyaathavaasi, which somehow did not garner impressive traction, prompting speculation that he may be taking a break from films while shifting his complete focus to politics.

The Telegu film will be co-produced by Dil Raju along with Boney Kapoor and directed by Sriram Venu. Reports from regional entertainment portals suggest Pawan Kalyan will be paid Rs 40 crore for the film and his shoot will completed in 25 days.
According to a report in Cinema Express, Sriram Venu was initially signed on for Allu Arjun's film Icon but now that he's been roped in for the Pink remake, Icon will have to wait: "Allu Arjun has agreed to start working on Icon after Sriram completes the Pawan Kalyan film. Similar to the Tamil version, Nerkonda Paarvai, the Telugu remake will have a fine balance between the social message and the commercial elements. Pawan has given a 20-day call sheet and the film is expected to go on floors later this year," Cinema Express quoted a source as saying.
Pink, Nerkonda Paarvai and now PSPK 26 talks about women's safety, the concept of consent, entitled behaviour and patriarchy.
