Prabhas starrer Saaho with its high octane stunts, top-class VFX has been mounted on a lavish scale and is expected to break all box office records ever. Nevertheless, the movie made on a budget of Rs 350 crore is paying its lead actors handsomely and to top them all, Prabhas is rumoured to be taking home Rs 100 crore, a miraculous jump from his last release Baahubali for which he was paid almost five times less the amount.
However, Prabhas has finally put to rest all such speculations about his remuneration for the movie. As reported by Mumbai Mirror, Prabhas agreed to take a 20 per cent cut for the movie and here's why.
In a recent interview, he was asked about the rumour going around that he is charging Rs 100 crore for Saaho. "Baahubali has set the bar high, but Saaho was a Rs 250 crore film so I knew I couldn't charge my usual remuneration. I started out with a 20 per cent cut. Then, the film went slightly over and though my friends were ready to pay up, I couldn't take their money knowing they were putting in so much without thinking of what they'd earn," Prabhas told the newspaper daily.

Recently actor addressed the rumours of marrying his Baahubali co-star Anushka Shetty. "Anushka and I are very good friends but if there was something more, wouldn't someone have spotted us together in the last two years? The question was posed to me on Karan Johar's show too. I let Rajamouli and Rana (Daggubati, Bahubali co-star) answer it and even they stated that there was nothing between It wasn't as if I had prepared them," Prabhas stated.
The latest gossip is that he will be tying the knot with Anushka after Saaho's release and are home hunting in Los Angeles.
Early reports suggested, makers of Saaho approached Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, after facing rejection from several other actresses. She got a whopping Rs 9 crore, which is three times less than that of Prabhas.
Saaho, also starring Jackie Shroff and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, will release in four languages on August 30.
