Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda is celebrating his 29th birthday on May 9. The young star, who is still enjoying the success of his 2017 release Arjun Ready, came up with a unique way to celebrate his big day.
Unlike his colleagues in the industry who host grand parties on their respective birthday, Vijay chose to treat the entire city with icecream.
Yes! It's true. On his birthday, three ice cream trucks named ‘The Deverakonda Birthday Truck’ traveled across the Hyderabad city and distributed ice cream to people.
Vijay even shared pics of the ice cream trucks on micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, "A few days of shooting in the Sun made me think of this. What if I got 3 ice cream trucks to drive around the city and give out free ice cream to everyone going about their day in the heat. The traffic cops, the street vendors, students, employees".
Indeed, it is a sweet way to celebrate a birthday.
Talking about the same, Vijay was quoted as saying, "I like attention for things I do, like a good film or performance or an interview even, But yeah, this ice cream truck gives some meaning to the day".
Meanwhile, the birthday star also released the first poster of his upcoming movie Dear Comrade on social media.
Helmed by Bharat Kamma, the action drama will hit the floors in June this year.
