The Great Indian Laughter Challenge which was launched on Star Plus on September 30 is all set to get a makeover. The current season of the comedy show is being judged by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar.
According to a Mid-Day report, the makers of the show have decided to replace the three mentors Mallika Dua, Zakir Khan and Hussain Dalal. The show has not performed as per the expectations and it seems the three comedians have become the causalities of the poor performance.
The report stated that Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade and director Sajid Khan will be replacing the three mentors. The production house and the channel took the decision after a lot of brainstorming. The final call was taken by Khiladi Kumar himself.
Shreyas was brought on board on Saturday while Sajid signed the papers on Sunday as per the report.
Both Zakir and Mallika are huge internet sensations and have managed to create a name for themselves in the digital world. Hussain is also an actor besides being a writer. He was a part of the writing team of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.
