Fans of comedian Kapil Sharma have been eagerly waiting for his return on small screen with his popular chat show The Kapil Sharma Show. On Wednesday, first pictures of the sets of the show surfaced over the internet and not much has changed on the set. As per some reports, Kapil Sharma is busy shooting the first episode of The Kapil Sharma Show 2 with Salman Khan. He is also expected to be tagged by his family members.

The first promo of the show was released in the last week of November on the Twitter handle of SONYTV and by the host himself. Kapil in an official statement even confirmed the news and said, “Yes, Kapil Sharma is coming home to Sony Entertainment Television with his highly successful weekend comedy show ‘the Kapil Sharma show’. We are delighted and looking forward to again collaborate with Kapil and his absolutely talented creative team and actors’’.

Last year, the show went off air after subsequent drop in the ratings due to walkout of most of the star cast. This was started in the month of March, 2017 when Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover has a spat during a mid-air flight from Australia. He reportedly insulted Sunil Grover which led to the walkout of Sunil from the show. Later, other co-stars also decided to leave the show, which began the fall of the ratings constantly.

Even his second film, which was also produced under his production house ‘K9 Productions’ failed to impress the audience and tanked miserably at the box-office. Earlier this year, Kapil hosted a game show Family Time With Kapil Sharma, which also failed to win the audiences’ heart.

But, again with the help of some close friends in the industry, Kapil is all set to begin his second innings with the second season of the popular chat show.

The Kapil Sharma Show 2 will also feature Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar, Sumona Chakraborty, Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek.

Apart from the show, Kapil Sharma is also set to marry his long-time girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12.
