Is your favourite TV serial among the most watched shows of the week? Well, the most awaited day of the week - Thursday is here and the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) ratings for the 23rd TRP week is out. As expected, somethings remain constant – shows by Zee TV continues with its tradition of holding the top slot. Here’s the top 10 shows of the week as revealed by BARC ratings.
Zeroing down to the niche audience, take a look at the Week 23rd 2018 TRP for DRAMA/SOAP category in the HSM –Urban market (1800-2230) for two plus years age group, according to BARC. The standing programmes are as under.
1. KUMKUM BHAGYA: Living up to the fans wishes and expectations and continuing its lead at BARC TRP number one is Zee TV production Kumkum Bhagya directed by Sameer Kulkarni, Sharad Panday. Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha starrer Kumkum Bhagya retains the first spot in the 23rd week. The most loved show was leading last week too.
2. NAAGIN-3: leading on a positive trend, a new entry in the list at second spot is Colors’ Naagin-3, starring Surbhi Jyoti, Anita Hassanandani, Pearl V Puri, Amrapali Gupta, and Karishma Tanna in lead roles. Rajat Tokas makes a special appearance.
3. ISHQ SUBHAN ALLAH: Yet another from the stable of ZEE TV, Ishq Subhan Allah. Moving up from the fourth spot in the 22nd week, the TV drama Ishq Subhan Allah steals the third spot this time. Ishq Subhan Allah stars Adnan Khan and Eisha Singh, which is one of the favourite pairs of the audience.
4. SHAKTI-ASTITVA KE EHSAAS KI: Colors’ Shakti-Astitva ke Ehsaas Ki is now at number four. The show features Vivian Dsena and Rubina Dilaik in lead roles.
5. KUNDALI BHAGYA: The popular Zee TV show has been ruling the BARC TRP by its exciting storylines and twists has fallen to number five. Kundli Bhagya features Dheeraj Kapoor and Shraddha Arya in lead roles.
6. UDAAN: Slow and steady, Udaan from Colors is moving up every week in the TRP ratings. One of the most loved shows in the Indian television history, the drama serial stars Meera Deosthale and Vijayendra Kumeria in lead roles.
7. ISHQBAAZ: The show, from Star Plus, is making a slow climb to the top at seventh spot this 23rd BARC TRP week. Ishqbaaz features Nakuul Mehta, Surbhi Chandna, Kunal Jaisingh, Shrenu Pareikh and Leenesh Mattoo. With a different appeal, the show is gaining viewership week after week.
8. MAHASANGAM-TU AASHIQUI: Of love and brutal murders, Mahasangam-Tu Aashiqui from Colors, which was nowhere in the top ten list last week, is now visible at number eight.
9-10. ISHQ MEIN MARJAWAN: Yet another TV serial from Colors, Ishq Mein Marjawan returned to the list of top 10 shows since last week and remains at both number nine and 10. The show stars Arjun Bijlani and Aalisha Panwar in lead roles.
11. ZINDAGI Ki MEHEK: Directed by Cariappa Appaya; Faheim Inamdar; Pushpender Singh, Zee TV’s Zindagi Ki Mahek falls in the 11th slot. The cast includes Samiksha Jaiswal as Mehek Shaurya Khanna/Mehek Singh Mann (2016-present) Karan Vohraas Shaurya Harish Khanna/Shaurya Singh Ahlawat.
