Former Bigg Boss candidate Karanvir Bohra, who is in the Russian capital for the MacCoffee Bollywood Film Festival, said he has been detained at Moscow International Airport due to passport issues. According to reports, Bohra was detained after authorities at the Moscow Airport found that his passport was damaged and had, therefore, detained him. Following the incident, Karanvir had tweeted on his official Twitter handles of the Indian Embassy of Moscow for a plea. Authorities are said to be rectifying the issue. Twitter, meanwhile has also been flooded with support for the actor.
The actor tweeted "So bummed... waiting at #moscowairport coz my passport is a little damaged. They (are) contemplating to deport me back to India "@IndEmbMoscowRus @IndEmbMoscow I wished you would have told me that prior to issuing me the visa. Feeling bad for @IndianFilmsRus (sic),"
Television stars to come to Bohra's aid were Karan Patel, who tweeted, "Not done, thats no reason to deport someone .... and that too a popular known celebrity .... @KVBohra hang in there bro, im sure the #IndianEmbassyInRussia will help you out." The official Twitter handle of Embassy of India in the Russian Federation responded, saying "Embassy officials are in touch with Russian authorities regarding the issue." While Vikas Gupta tweeted, "Is anyone listening. Is this realy how someone be treated #disappointed." Fellow Bigg Boss contestant, Hina Khan has also shown support to her fellow co-star.

Replying to the pouring of support, Bohra has expressed his gratitude, "Thank you so much.... much much appreciated. Always good to know that I'm looked after by my @IndEmbMoscow," he wrote. The official Twitter handle of Embassy on India in the Russian Federation said that they are in touch with the Russian authorities regarding the issue. Bohra was last seen in the reality TV show Bigg Boss 12.
