Popular TV and Bollywood actress Shweta Basu Prasad, who tied the knot with filmmaker Rohit Mittal a year ago in an intimate wedding ceremony has decided to end their marriage mutually. The actress took to her Instagram account to inform the same.
The news left everyone shocked as it was announced just before their first-year wedding anniversary. She posted a picture of the long note that can be read as "Hi everyone, Rohit Mittal and I have mutually decided to part our ways and end our marriage. After months of contemplation, we arrived at this decision a few months ago in each other's best interest, as individuals.”
Her note followed with a reference of an unfinished book. Calling herself Rohit’s cheerleader, and thanking him for all the memories the post said “Not every book is supposed to be read cover to cover, that doesn't mean the book is bad, or one can't read, some things are best left unfinished. Thank you Rohit for the irreplaceable memories and always inspiring me. Have a great life ahead, forever your cheerleader."
Rohit and Shweta have dated each other for four years before they got married in December last year. Rohit and Shweta had first met during work, and reports had it that Anurag Kashyap played the cupid in their relationship. Shweta has worked in films like Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Makdee, The Tashkent Files and TV serials like Chandra Nandini in its lead role. She will be next seen in in ZEE5 film ‘Shukranu’ opposite Divyendu V Sharmaa and Sheetal Thakur.
