After months of anticipation, Bigg Boss has finally got its winner for season 12 and it is none other than Dipika Kakar Ibrahim, who is best known for her show Sasural Simar Ka. Former Indian cricketer Shanthakumaran Sreesanth was the runner-up of the extravagant evening. Though speculations were rife about Dipika winning the show since evening host Salman Khan crowned the winner at sharp 12 O'clock on the stage of Bigg Boss 12 Grand Finale. Bigg Boss 12 winner was announced during a three-hour long live show on Sunday. However, the entire episode of the grand finale had already been shot earlier. Apart from Dipika and Sreesanth, the other contestants who were vying for the coveted BB12 trophy include Deepak Thakur, Romil Chaudhary and Karanvir Bohra.

The evening hit off on a celebratory note with Deepak-Somi's romantic dance that swept everyone off their feet. Bigg Boss' 'bhai-behen' duo Dipika-Sreesanth's cute dance act stole the show. While some people labelled this season for being a little lukewarm, fans could not stop speculating and rooting for their favourite contestants.
While Karanvir Bohra was the first one to be evicted from the BB12 finale, Romil Chaudhary entered top 4 before getting eliminated. Post that, famous singer and Youtuber Deepak Thakur chose to walk out from the house with Rs 20 lakh cash, paving the way for Sreesanth and Dipika. Bigg Boss 12 grand finale also welcomed the team of Khatron Ke Khiladi (KKK9) who promoted their show which will replace Bigg Boss from January 5, 2019. Some breath-taking dance performances by special guests along with the contestants kept the viewers hooked on to their television sets. The house was lit up with comedian Bharti Singh's flawless sense of humour throughout the time.

Social media was abuzz with loyal fans of the television’s most controversial show rooting for their respective favourite players and leaving no stone unturned to make them win and take home the mouth-watering prize money of Rs 50 lakh.
The show, based on the Dutch series Big Brother, started back in September 2018 with a toal of 20 contestants from different walks of life. In a dramatic twist, Bigg Boss season 12 featured contestants in pairs (any sort of pairs like friends, co-workers, spouses, siblings, etc), declaring the theme "Vichitra Jodis" or "Strange Pairs".
